This custom made set of porcelain wall art butterflies now hangs over the foyer in a private residence in Sewickley, PA. The purchaser installed the sculptures so that they appear to be floating upwards. Each butterfly measures 6.5cm ( 2.5 inches ) and you can order as many as you need. These are a great option for tricky and irregular shaped walls such as this one, because they can work with the space, enhancing and drawing attention to interesting architectural details in situations where traditional rectangular artwork might not fit so well. This item can be bought using the custom listing, or contact me here on Wescover to discuss a commission, where we can make any specific number you require, and also create custom finishes if needed.
Each butterfly measures approx 2.5 inches (6cm)
Every porcelain butterfly will arrive ready-made with a fixing attached on the back. Each butterfly sculpture can be hung directly onto your wall using a small flat headed nail or screw (whichever is suitable for your wall type). I recommend placing post it notes onto your wall first to get the arrangement of your art exactly how you would like it before adding your fixings.
When it comes to putting in the nail or screw, angle it downwards slightly into the wall.
In each butterfly order, as standard, you will receive an approximate 50/50 split in terms of facing directions. So when hung, roughly half will face slightly left and half will hang facing slightly right unless specified to us at the point of order. If you would like all, or a custom number, of your butterflies flying in a certain direction, please let us know and we will organise that for you!
