Inspired by the flow patterns found throughout nature, the sculpture is constructed from thousands of individually crafted glass elements that collectively create a sense of motion, rhythm, and accumulation. The work reflects the way small forces can gather into something larger than themselves.

Shayna Leib is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans over three decades of sculptural and two-dimensional work. Internationally recognized for her intricate glass and ceramic sculptures, Leib's work resides in museum collections and private holdings around the globe, including the Tacoma Museum of Glass, the Henry Ford Museum, the Charleroi Museum in Belgium, and the private collection of the Princess of Morocco. Her acclaimed Pâtisserie Series has toured museums across the U.S., France, and Belgium.

Leib holds a Master of Fine Arts in Glass and Metal from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a B.A. in Philosophy from California Polytechnic State University, where she also studied Russian literature, glassblowing, and classical piano. She has taught sculpture, glass, and drawing at institutions including Cal Poly and the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Leib's body of work is unified by a commitment to photorealism and conceptual depth—a rare intersection across both 3D and 2D forms. In recent years, she has returned to painting and illustration, bringing her meticulous eye and thematic boldness into new mediums. Her first children’s book, Finding Figgins, and her oil painting series, The Malcontent Series, reflect a wry, vivid lens on culture, storytelling, and emotional honesty.

Whether sculpting in glass or painting in oil, Shayna Leib's work is a meditation on beauty, material mastery, and the layered ways we experience wonder.
