My work with photography blurs the boundaries of realism & abstraction. I present the ordinary in unconventional ways by transforming form and scale. This photographic design was commissioned as a wedding gift from the bride's sister using the wedding flowers as my subject. The closer one looks, the more one may discover. Hidden within each of my photographic works is a love note or tiny positive word. For this unique commission, I hid a special love note for the couple, as well as their names, wedding date and location-a game of seek and find, where wonder and curiosity meet discovery and celebration. Can you find a hidden love note in the two detail images?

I am driven to create work that beckons me into the sublime, that place where emotion holds dominance over vocabulary, by distilling nature into abstract form.

As a contemporary artist, I am inspired by the balance between precision and freedom. My work is influenced by my extensive travels, love of nature, and living along the coast of Rhode Island. 

My paintings, installations, sculptures, and large-scale photographic works are characterized by organic forms and the use of nontraditional materials.

My most recent paintings, "Metamorphosis and Stasis Collections," are poetic. In sophisticated color palettes, their graceful sculptural and curvilinear forms seem to float in the atmosphere.
