A pair of Chinoiserie wall art panels composed of two early 20th-century Chinese giltwood openwork carvings, each mounted on its own solid wood backplate with a 2 cm floating gap — a striking focal point for flanking a fireplace, above a console, or along a hallway. The warm gilt tones and intricate openwork bring a quiet, architectural presence to refined interiors.
These are surviving architectural fragments from a traditional timber-framed structure, dating to circa 1920.. Minor wear consistent with age is part of their history, not a flaw to be corrected.
Each panel measures 60 cm W × 25 cm H (backplate); antique panel 48 cm W × 17 cm H. Backplates and mounting hardware are new. Mounted with a 2 cm floating gap, the pair is ready to hang with pre-installed hardware. Display together as a pair, or separately as complementary pieces.
This listing is for a pair of two independent wall sculptures, each with its own backplate. One-of-a-kind pair.
