At 40 inches high (100cm) this is one of the largest cyanotypes I have ever printed. Though this monoprint looks like a wood cut or screen print, this is actually a form of photography called a cyanotype.
Every botanical cyanotype I make is unique made using fresh cut plants and trees laid in that exact composition on the hand-coated light-sensitive paper only once.
There is no ink, no printing press and no copper plate or wood block. Cyanotypes never fade like watercolor paint or printmaking ink.
On heavy 100% cotton Arches watercolor paper with a decorative deckled edge.
