This earthy handmade ceramic baking dish is an amazing round baking dish made of a folded slab of clay. It can also make a unique cylinder vase.
This handmade round ceramic baking pan can make a special housewarming gift. It can be a beautiful hand-folded flower vase as well.

I hand-built it from a slab and hand-carved the seed pod images on the outside, using the sgraffito* technique. It is a baking method we have used in my family for decades.
When the cake comes out of the oven you can slice it into round slices.
I will send along with my special recipe for my delicious Israeli date bread, which is sweet as a cake but has the consistency of bread!

Hand formed from a clay slab
Hand-carved design using sgraffito* technique
dark brown, non-toxic, matte glaze inside and outside
Fired in the kiln at 1200 degrees Celsius
Height: 5 3/4" // 14.5 cm

*Sgraffito: a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color, typically done in plaster or stucco on walls, or in a slip on ceramics before firing.
Materials: White stoneware, black slip, glaze.
