Using photography to reinterpret architecture in the Interior Landscape series, classic painting in the After Painting series and Smoke in the Secondhand Smoke series.
Carol Inez Charney is an artist making photo-based work in San Francisco, CA. She is represented in LA by the George Billis Gallery, in Oakland at Slate Contemporary and in Seattle by the Foster White Gallery. Her work can also be found in several prestigious corporate and private collections.
Most work produced of the Interior Landscape series is made in sizes of: 30x30", 40x40", 48x48" and 60x60". The work is sold either as a print only or mounted on aluminum with a face flush non-glare plex mount and a recessed back. Editions are in 8, 10 and 15 depending on when the work was produced and what size.
For the After Painting series, the artwork is sold individually or as diptychs and triptychs where applicable, work is available as: 30x30" edition of 8, 36x36" edition of 8, 40x40" edition of 8, 48x48" edition of 6 and 60x60" in an edition of 4. Pieces are float framed with either maple, black or white frames with the work mounted to aluminum. The work is also sold unframed as prints only.
For the Secondhand Smoke series the pieces are made in square formats of: 24", 36" and 48" as well as rectangular works which are sold in sizes of: 24x33, 36x49, 48x65, and a few sized at: 36x72 and 48x96. Prices and small edition sizes upon request. All work in this series will be archival pigment prints mounted to Dibond with a waterproof scratch resistant matte laminate face and a black frame with D-rings in the back for hanging.
