Cazimi references precise timing and connections. The overlap of each line, where it swirls and joins with the others is the essence of the tension in this wall-mounted sculpture. Through the twists and turns, I’m capturing a sense of dynamic movement.
The wall-mounted sculpture is made from zippers with aluminum teeth. Zippers are utilitarian and often are not meant to be seen. I’m elevating this overlooked material by featuring it as the focus of my sculpture. I am inspired by the duality of the material—metal and fabric.
Hook hardware is provided and connects to d-rings stitched securely to the sculpture guaranteeing a precise attachment.
