Blush Sky is an encaustic painting created with wax and pigments on a cradled birch board.

The depth and translucency of encaustic paint is what drew me to this medium and I find it perfect to convey the atmospheric scenes of my paintings. Blush Sky is my interpretation of the early evening sky over the Provincetown bay which often turns to a rosy pink.
