Piper was a gorgeous marble tabby, maybe a Bengal or Bengal mix, who showed up one morning at my third-floor apartment. She walked right in, hopped on my desk, and acted like she had always lived there 😸. She napped, demanded pets, and made herself completely at home!
We posted signs and put her photo on Facebook to look for her real owners. Two days later we found them, and we had to give her back. 😿 It was tough, but I’ll always remember her ❤️. This print is my way of keeping her story alive.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Catherine Hébert is a wildlife and animal artist based in Montreal, Canada. She has a background in visual effects and brings that same eye for detail and colour to every painting. Many of her pieces are inspired by real animals she's met. A crow on a hotel balcony in DC, a round pigeon in a Seoul subway station, a pheasant who keeps showing up in her sister's yard in Nova Scotia. She also paints live during her weekly Thursday evening livestream, where viewers hang out, chat, and sometimes even name the paintings!
