Matthew Hedgepath Smith is a Woodworker and Furniture Designer/Maker, currently living in Austin TX. Matthew’s first experience of making something by hand was building Surfboards as a teenager. From there his interest in growing as a crafts person has led to studying Wooden Boat building in the Pacific Northwest and Fine Furniture Making in the Northeast.

Whether working on a scale that is small and intimate, large and grand or somewhere in between, the goal is to imbue each piece with the same sensitivity and craftsmanship.
