Abstract sculpture for architecture, landscape, and public space.
Yoko is a Japanese–Czech American sculptor based in California and working in Pietrasanta, Italy. She creates abstract forms in marble and stone, with work in bronze and stainless steel, for architecture, gardens, private collections, and public space. Her sculptures use curves, openings, and movement to bring a sense of the natural world into built environments.
Yoko's Carrara marble sculpture Tides is permanently installed at the University of San Francisco. Her 2023 solo exhibition, Ovid’s Metamorphosis, presented eight sculptures throughout Filoli Historic House and Garden. She directs each project from drawing and model through fabrication, engineering, and placement, collaborating with specialist ateliers and fabricators as the scale requires. She welcomes inquiries for private and public commissions.
