DESCRIPTION:
The beauty of this chandelier is stunning and very captivating with the lights on or off. The time and craftsmanship that goes into making this chandelier is amazing. Over the course of four decades, Venice’s longstanding tradition of glassmaking has continued throughout the generations, and to this day, the Venetian island of Murano is still internationally renowned for its active involvement in the glassmaking industry. For this reason, artists with an interest in all things glass, will typically flock to Venice- and observe the work of famed Italian artisans who still reside in the stunning city in the Venetian tradition. One can only wonder what kind of genius thought of blowing human breath down a metal tube, forming a bubble inside a molten blob of glass. And to think that this molten blob of glass is made only of silica or sand, the most common material in the world, that can be transformed from a solid to a liquid to a solid just from fire. This light is beautiful.
