At Dynasty Artisan, we are committed to the philosophy of Craft Evolution—bridging the profound wisdom of ancient engineering with modern luxury curation. Designed and meticulously researched by Yuchen and Judy, this pure mortise-and-tenon architectural model is a faithful 1:45 scale recreation of one of the greatest structural masterpieces in Chinese history: The celebrated Aiwan Pavilion
Historically, nestled on the scenic slopes of Yuelu Mountain, this monumental structure is the ultimate architectural focal point of Chinese literati culture. Named after the immortal Tang Dynasty verse, "Stopping my carriage, I sit and love the maple woods at twilight," its design is a physical manifestation of poetic romance and cosmic harmony. The pavilion's intricate double-eaved, sweeping rooflines and traditional pillar network brilliantly achieve perfect stability purely through structural physics, without the use of a single iron nail.
Our studio's deep expertise in traditional Chinese joinery has previously defined our acclaimed collections of Ming and Qing Dynasty reproduction furniture, including our signature mortise-and-tenon Taishi chairs and precision-crafted cabinets. We have now applied this uncompromising standard to monumental landscape architecture.
This model is a living testament to intangible cultural heritage. It is constructed from over 500 individual pure wood pieces, interlocking perfectly through authentic traditional joinery. Each component is individually hand-painted to honor the iconic, majestic color palette of the original architecture—from its vibrant crimson pillars to its classical green glazed-tile roof. From raw material to the final 6770-gram masterpiece, an error-free assembly requires approximately 3 to 5 months of dedicated, artisanal craftsmanship.
The piece also features a carefully integrated ambient LED lighting system, illuminating the intricate interior structures and transforming the model into a breathtaking, cinematic focal point for any high-end space. The model offers dual power options: it can be illuminated wirelessly via its rechargeable battery or plugged in directly for continuous display. The ambient LED system is calibrated to a warm white glow by default to highlight the natural wood grain, with bespoke lighting colors available upon request.

(Please note: Every masterpiece in this series is a faithful replica of an actual, real-world historical landmark.)
As every single piece is meticulously hand-painted by our artisans, subtle nuances in color and brushwork are inherent to the authentic crafting process. These natural variations ensure that your model is a truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece. We greatly appreciate your understanding of these unique artisanal hallmarks.
