Story behind the work: I’ve always believed that life, much like a game, demands effort, strategy, and resilience. But what happens after we’ve given it our all? This painting captures that exact moment—the pause, the deep breath, the quiet satisfaction of knowing you’ve shown up for yourself.

I painted this work thinking about those times when we push so hard, only to realize that true strength lies in the moments we allow ourselves to rest. The woman in the painting, leaning against the net, reminds me of my journey—balancing ambition with self-acceptance, learning when to push forward and when to be.

The scattered tennis balls tell a story of effort and experience, while her painted face reflects the layers we all carry—our dreams, struggles, and victories.
