This series explores the passing of time and its effect on memory and identity. Inspired by 17th-century Flemish still life paintings — themselves reflections on transience — these works reframe fragments of the past through contemporary 3D collage.
Created with repurposed magazine paper and origami techniques, each piece speaks to the fragility and impermanence of both memories and materials. As the viewer moves around the work, images shift, colours fade, and forms dissolve — echoing the way memories are layered, fragmented, and constantly reshaped over time.
At the same time, the use of recycled paper draws attention to sustainability and the transformation of discarded materials — inviting us to reflect on what we preserve, what we forget, and what we leave behind.
