The artist explored sensations of an evening in the garden. The fragrances of flowers, fireflies flitting about, and movement of a breeze through the leaves are all reflected in this painting on canvas. Every brushstroke conveys the freedom to relax and feel the magic of the evening.

Vibrant floral and abstract paintings on canvas from my Pennsylvania studio.

My acrylic paintings are about feeling it all. I paint botanical subjects with splashing paint, bold lines, vibrant colors, and lots of movement. When I look at flowers or a landscape, I see a miraculous display of color and movement unfolding before my eyes. To capture that feeling of wonder, I exaggerate color, contrast and shape. I turn up the dials until I have that “Wow!” sensation that I find in observing nature. Every brushstroke reflects the freedom to express what is moving me.
