Yangyang Pan, born in 1976, studied at the Sichuan Fine Art Institute where shereceived her Honours Bachelor of Arts in 1998 followed by her Master of Fine Art in 2002. She remained as an instructor until 2006 when she immigrated to Canada.
Her work is a reflection of her personal artistic journey and cultural experience between Western and Eastern. Roots in the spirit of Oriental Culture, she develops abstract visual language that express her inspiration taken from natural optical cues infuses it with spirit and spontaneity sourced from emotions within.
The artists’ palette is chromatically saturated in a higher key, which delights the senses and adds drama to the composition. Her gestural abstract paintings forged a vocabulary completely her own – a unique blend of idea, desire and talent, emblematic of the global nature of art of our time.
Yangyang's work has been exhibited throughout Canada and US, as well as Italy and China. She has been invited to make numerous commissioned work. Noteworthy projects include Apple, Amour Vert, Holt Renfrew, Anthropologie. Yangyang's work can be found in numerous private, public and corporate collections world wide. She is currently working towards solo show in 2020, Scarsdale, NY.
