Born in Brazil, I began my art education at a young age in São Paulo, Brazil. Later, I immigrated to Toronto, Canada continuing studies as a graduate of The Academy of Design and Technology. During my academic years, I was intrigued by the works of Kandinsky, Klimt, and Miró, which then shifted my focus towards the realm of contemporary art, exposing me to the cultural dialogue of identity, community, and nationality.
I usually experiment with various mediums and tools, including inks, acrylics, resin, gold leaf, glass, crystals, and gemstones.
In 2018 I established "The Robyn Camargo Art Studio" and discovered a unique style of expression later branded as "Wall Jewelry."
Mixing vibrant hues while experimenting with different mediums reveals a sense of novelty that delivers insight into my creative mind. It allows me to tell a tale that projects symbolic images, meaningful emotions from my past and present experiences onto the canvas, transforming the blank slate into a multi-faceted expression of how I view the world around me.
Living in the Durham Region with my husband and stepson, I create paintings from my newly designed art studio and sell them online and off-site to local and international private collectors.
All my artwork is created using professional grade paints and canvases. All my paintings are sealed and UV protected, preventing the colors from changing or fading.
