Vita Boheme Studio

West Palm Beach, FL

"Elevated Textile Art"
Jessica Alejandra was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since a very young age, and guided by the creative weaver hand of her grandmother, she started experimenting to work with natural fibers such as cotton rope, wool and hemp by doing small wall hangings and wearable accessories. While finishing her studies in Human Biology, she became a licensed artisan and kept evolving her techniques and knowledge in the textile arts' medium. In 2015, she moved with her husband to Palm Beach, Florida and decided to peruse her dream of becoming a full-time professional textile artist under the label of Vita Boheme fiber-art-studio. A passion that one day started as a hobby, quickly became a thriving small art business. Vita Boheme's textile art has been featured in HGTV (Xtreme Makeovers- Home Edition) and incorporated by designers in many recognized hotels, country clubs, restaurants and private residence around the world.

About The Artwork

Vita Bohemes’ work is the result of the creative expression of the artist’s love and intrigue for nature, interior design, familiar shapes, color, movement and natural textures. It is also the result of her grip on the fundamentals of nature, the spirit of life, constructive forces, balance, and embracement of all the beauty evoked by natural-organic processes. By suspending hundreds of ethically sourced wool strands to a carefully crafted wood frame, the artist creates an elevated fiber canvas full of texture, warmth, and relaxing movement. Each fibers is thoughtfully hand dyed with plant based and custom prepared dye colors. The end result is an eye catching and sophisticated art piece that invites our senses to experience all layers of textures while admiring the nature and uniqueness of materials, pigments, and values used by the artist.
