Ugnė Pouwell is a fine art photographer whose practice is rooted in analogue black and white photography. Working with large format processes, she treats photography as a slowed and deliberate encounter with form, light, and material presence. Her images draw from the natural world, where isolated details, subtle tonal shifts, and tactile surfaces become a way of holding attention for longer. In an accelerated digital culture, her work returns the photographic image to something physical, sensory, and deeply observed.
