The Vula Collection draws on the poetry of found objects and their long history in African mysticism. We create bronze sculptural pieces with functional aspects. The everyday becomes sacred through attention and intention. Objects hold memories and emotions that are communicated through their texture and heft. In the silence of awareness, an object can begin to speak. The quiet songs of the Vula artefacts add their own notes to the symphony of the home. They effuse a sense of the wild and ancient into the stories unfolding in our spaces. Our door pull ranges are named for the natural environment in which they were found. There is a felt connection between artist and artefact, much as there is between a shaman and her bones collection. Meaning is read by eyes, hands, and heart.
