Her signature accordion form borrows from the history of bookmaking and reimagines it as a way of storing not just images but memory, landscape, and the tension between the natural world and the digital one.
Her work begins on a screen and ends on your wall — casting shadows, catching light, shifting as you move around it. Up close it is lush and photographic. From a distance it dissolves into pure pattern and color.

Nicole Pietrantoni is an internationally exhibited artist with over twenty years of practice. Working at the intersection of printmaking, photography, and the artist's book, Pietrantoni transforms archives of digital images — gradients, glitches, photographic fragments of land and sea — into large-scale sculptural accordion books and wall-mounted installations that pulse with color and light.
