Nathan Chintala is a furniture maker and designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Telangana, India and later migrated to Queens, NY as a teenager, Nathan discovered his love for furniture while pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science. After taking a basic woodworking course at Brooklyn Woods, he committed himself to the art.
Working for furniture/millwork companies, Nathan started designing his first collection and later showed it at ICFF in 2021.
Nathan grounds his work in the principles of early American cabinet makers, using bench-made methods and sustainable materials to create individual pieces of furniture. His passion to make things motivates him to grow as a fabricator and designer.
