Born in 1966, Olivier Santini began his career as the founder and director of agencies specializing in marketing, communication, and product design. For more than twenty years, he supported brands in their development, identity, and creative strategies. This experience shaped a deep conviction: design should not only be aesthetic — it must be durable, ingenious, meaningful, and fundamentally different from what already exists.
In 2023, he decided to take a new direction by creating his own furniture collections and founded KUUMO Design. His ambition is to offer sculptural, innovative, modular pieces designed to last for decades. KUUMO armchairs and sofas stand out thanks to a unique construction: every component — panels, cushions, fabrics, stainless-steel elements — is removable, modular, and replaceable, ensuring exceptional durability and a responsible, repairable approach to furniture design.
Each collection can be configured for indoor or outdoor use, simply by selecting the appropriate foams (HR foam for indoor spaces, open-cell foam for outdoor environments). This versatility, combined with the transparency of cast PMMA or the sophistication of tempered glass, results in pieces that are visually light yet architecturally expressive.
Within just a few months, Olivier Santini’s work was recognized at the highest international level: • Archiproducts Design Award • DNA Paris Design Award • MiAW Design Award
Three competitions, three first prizes. These distinctions highlight both the boldness of his design language and the exceptional durability of his creations — two fundamental values at the heart of KUUMO.
Guided by a clear creative vision, Olivier Santini continues to develop singular, contemporary, and timeless objects where technical innovation, visual emotion, and long-lasting construction come together to shape the furniture of tomorrow.
