KALEIDO MARBLING ART

Ashbourne, United Kingdom

"Unique marbling art and home deco that turn your home into a welcoming and cosy cocoon."
I am a mixed media artist, textile designer, graduate of the London College of Fashion, MA-Fashion Studies.

During lockdown I taught myself the ancient marbling technique, which can be described as "painting on the surface of water", a mesmerising art technique that has endless potential to create unique and stunning surface patterns designs.
Once the print is dry, I scan it and on Photoshop I put in repeat patterns to create a seamless and symmetrical design. I often overlap my flower photography or abstract paintings with the marbling print to obtain an even more unique artwork.

I create marbling wall art, printed on Hahnemuhle paper with archival inks to guarantee colour fastness, available unframed in various formats.
They are also available as unique surface patterns designs for home deco and fashion accessories: square cushions, soft furnishings, wearable art, silk/velvet scarves, and from early 2021 lampshades, bean bags, ottomans and pet beds.

My marbling designs lend themselves very well to be printed on organic cotton, velvet and are special home accessories to treasure and to give all year round, a timeless design statement that add a stylish pop of colour to any lounge, bedroom, study, conservatory and outdoor living.
I am available for bespoke orders, commissions and collaborations with interior designers, stylists and influencers.

Q&A

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"Photography is my first love, and over the years, I learned a few art-crafts techniques, my latest "artistic" crush is called marbling, an ancient ink technique I taught myself during lockdown. What fascinates me about this technique is that it is like a form of meditation: since I have an hyperactive mind and often find difficult to focus, when I create marbling prints I am more present, grounded, totally focused on what I am doing without wandering off."
