Malva Office is a design studio founded by José Cortés, driven by a search for spatial improvement through honest craftsmanship and thoughtful materiality.
I am interested in the truth of materials and the beauty that emerges when things are made with honesty. I design pieces that aim to endure, both in their physical solidity and their symbolic value—quiet objects that invite contemplation and introspection. I believe in a sober, essential aesthetic, where every formal decision responds to a real need, without artifice.
Ultimately, I seek to create furniture that enters into dialogue with the space—accompanying it without dominating it—and that, over time, becomes a part of it.
