"Kristen Pobatschnig creates one of a kind pointillist paintings and custom kinetic sculpture installations."
Kristen Pobatschnig is an impressionist painter; she emphasizes light and movement in a whirlwind of fleeting dots and tiny brushstrokes. She currently lives in Incline Village, NV, and she enjoys capturing the vastly different landscapes of the Sierra Nevada and the High Desert of the Great Basin Desert.
As indicated in her paintings, Kristen is fascinated by movement; she creates kinetic sculptures and installations of kinetic work utilizing hand-painted plexiglass circles. She believes mobile sculptures capture the beauty in transition. A lifelong student of dance, she creates reproductions of her paintings on clothing and costumes, to bring further movement to her artwork.
A New Hampshire native, she has public art installations in the Mount Washington Valley area, and has been recognized as one of the top female artists to watch in the state by New Hampshire Magazine. She has collaborated with numerous artists, dancers, musicians, and scientists throughout her creative journey, and is inspired by many.
