"An invitation into something both joyful and contemplative"

My desire is to pursue the truths that often lie in the periphery, just outside of language's grasp. This propels me to the canvas again and again. Beyond catharsis, I hope my art is empathetic, serving as an exterior point of meeting; a familiar sigh of relief that we are not alone. The creation is a meditative effort -- uniting disparate pieces of thought and leaning them into a harmony. I don't know how to instill wonder, but I hope my work causes a slow curiosity to begin.
