"Contemporary Abstract Art and Apparel"
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Nothing is truer for the artist behind KARDIMAGO. She has spent her life observing different cultures, testing new tastes, and luxuriating in exotic perfumes. From Belgium to France, from Africa to Asia, including Australia, and many others in between. Art is her reward and refuge after years of work and raising her four children. She acquired her artistic style through a variety of eclectic training in Melbourne, Australia, and Paris, France. Creating colours and textures in an abstract fashion is more than a passion for her.

More About This Creator

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"My art is about the need to express myself outside of politically correct societal imperatives. I paint how I want to when I need to, without requiring permission about the how, when or why of it. Painting provides me with an escape from the mundane and day to day life full of responsibilities. When I paint, I paint 'like no one's watching', the freedom is intoxicating."

What do you want people to do or feel when they encounter your creations?

"I am always humbled when a viewer feels an emotional connection to one of my pieces as each one is derived from a particular feeling I had at the time of creating it."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"By far my most unexpected surprise has been how well my art has been received by others. My biggest obstacle is the time and travel contraints I have due to family demands. This will change in a few more years and thankfully, a lot can be done remotely. I am still very humbled when someone is interested in my work. I don't think that will ever change."
