"I have no memory of a time in my life where I didn't enjoy drawing or creating images."
To me, as an illustrator who primarily works from a desk; designing & installing large scale murals is an electrifying experience from start to finish.
Before I discovered my passion for design, I worked as a freelance visual artist creating public art. I'm interested in how our urban environment allows us to combine art in a way that's unexpected & can bring people closer together. I believe that great aesthetic has the power to create harmony. Guiding our complete attention to what is in front of us, redirecting our view for a brief moment from our screens to what is in plain sight. I like the idea of appreciating our modern tools while simultaneously appreciating our community.
Drawing from life has been something I've incorporated to my daily routine over the years, this practice not only helps my technique stay fluid but it also helps to remind me that constant learning should be an ongoing process. My current personal projects often include images that incorporate organic forms like flora with platonic patterns, to create a visual representation of spirit & matter.
