HILANA: Upcycled Cotton

We started more than three years ago a little by chance and a little in search of a purpose, of a radical change that would fill us and that in some way would be a contribution to the planet and society.
That is how our adventure began (without knowing much) around cotton upcycling.
Our first approach was in Tlaxcala (Mexico), where we were able to learn about the reconstituted fibers in the field. After trial and error, we launched our first collection: Turkish towels made with recycled cotton in Mexico... Crazy, right!?
The feedback was excellent. We needed more volume of cotton and to incorporate more lines of products. That is why we traveled to Denizli to meet with a weavers cooperative. Who we had to convince to work with recycled cotton, as they considered it garbage.
But after a while, they realized that they could obtain the same quality and smoothness using regenerated yarns.
Thus, to date, we have recycled more than three tons of post-production cotton, making outstanding products, full of values and, history. Made to last and bring joy!
