He was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 and graduated in Industrial Design in 2009 from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. But even before joining the University, I knew well what profession to follow, because the influences of the architect mother gave him the certainty and passion to work with Design.
Already in the period as a student began to focus on the development of furniture, and soon came confirmation that he was on the right track, his first furniture was awarded in important national competitions.
The eternal search for new knowledge, refinement, and his curiosity led him to work with great icons of the national scene as Zanini de Zanine, Marcelo Rosenbaum, Rodrigo Calixto, besides having studied in Italy, in the Politecnico di Torino and in 2011 worked in the Thomas Heyes Gallery in Los Angeles.
Finally in 2013 he moved to Petrópolis, a city in the mountainous region of Rio, where he merged his studio with a traditional woodworking company, creating the Atelier Gustavo Bittencourt, where the proposal is to develop, produce and market his projects.
