Garry Grant is a New York based artist, well known for large-scale abstractions that often utilize multiple canvases. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Grant studied at College for Creative Studies and Wayne State University. Early in his career, Grant became a master gilder and was employed by several leading framing companies as a specialist in the restoration of antique period frames. Grant, has for over 20 years, adapted the materials and techniques of gilding and restoration to his artistic practice.
