I rediscovered my love for pottery after a very long break when my sister gifted me a couples pottery class for my birthday this year. During the class, I suddenly realized how much I’ve missed working and moving with the clay; the freedom, opportunities, and openness it gives to one are just endless. Funny how after college, while diving into life and career, I completely forgot about this hobby. It was as if I locked this big creative door for 6 years of my life and suddenly it magically opened up again to show me how much I needed it in my life.
So, fast forward to now, when I’m not at work or outdoors, I looove spending my time in the ceramic studio creating one-of-a-kind pottery.
The majority of my inspiration comes from nature and its creations. Hence, the reason I came up with the name D'Earth Pottery as it signifies "The Earth" and also reads as "Dirt".
I love showcasing the raw qualities and tones of clay. That’s why I try to leave parts of the piece unglazed and use earth-like colors when glazing as a beautiful contrast.
