"Wall-mounted and standalone modern sculpture, cast in Great Neck, NY."
AvRaam is the studio name of Avraham Cohen, an artist working in wall-mounted and standalone modern sculpture from a studio in Great Neck, New York. Born in 1968 in Tel Aviv, he studied industrial design in Israel and New York, and during his Master's work at Pratt Institute collaborated in Gaetano Pesce's New York studio. In 1998 he founded Vertex Product Development Inc. in Great Neck, NY. His sculpture brings industrial design together with casting and molding. The works are cold cast in molds, most of them in urethane, and finished in layered, stratified color. They are cast pieces, not metal sculpture, and a few are mixed media. Studio visits are by appointment only.
