Ateljé Rouge is a Toronto-based design studio. Each piece starts as a drawing or sketch and is developed into prints, textiles and woven cloth, particularly Kente, designed and produced to commission. Every Kente piece is woven by hand, carrying forward the ancestral traditions behind it and preserving the value of human touch. Ateljé Rouge draws on a life lived across West Africa, the Nordics and North America. Pieces are made in small runs or to order, and commissions for homes and commercial spaces are welcome.
