About: Sometimes there are antique rugs that are incredible and mystical and unbelievable, then there are masterpieces that you look at and just can't comprehend how in the hell it was woven, and by whom, and why, and just sit there and marvel and relish. You let your eyes play in the recess that is the design, you let them get lost in the vines, in the large and small blooming floral motifs and flowing leaves. Then, you see the animals; the hound dogs, the different birds, the leopards, and so many more. It is hard to digest it all, yet the master weavers have laid out the colors in a way for your eyes to easily digest. So much movement in the border, so much movement in the field, and the center medallion is so elegant, simple, yet deep. The color shifts and abrash are magnetic, and the overall feel is just so good. We name this rug after the famous fashion designer Betsey Johnson as she is so brave, so bold, and so herself. There is vulnerability to that, but where there's a vulnerability there is greatness. She is passionate and not afraid to take chances, and this rug is just that - but it is through the DNA of world-class weavers. Every square inch of this rug is beautiful, and the colors need to be celebrated in a long list; Kahki-sand, magenta-ruby, plum, grassy greens, champagne, pastel blues, midnight blue, french blues, sky blues, Carolina blue, raw umber, honey, camo-green, Tuscany, wine, cordovan, ash grey, licorice, eggshell, and SO many more. If you need any more info on this piece, or more pics or videos - just let us know. This rug is perfect for the eclectic individual that can appreciate the poetry in this rug. Lisa Frank / Betsey Johnson vibes meet timeless and classical masterpiece-museum vibes! This rug depicts the iconic Paradise / Hunting Scene with the animals, trees, and flowers. You will never find another.

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding. If you do get the pad as well; due to its size we will have to combine two pads to perfectly fit this piece - we do this all the time for these oversized pieces!
