Name: Selma
Size: 3.5 to 3.10 x 11.6 (width bows out at one end, splendid!)
Age: Antique
Pile: Medium
About: This is a really incredible tribal and geometric runner with nice soft hand-spun organic wool. Fantastic Southwestern vibes and hard geometric medallion motifs that add a really nice casual and fun feel. Given the fact that it's super nomadic, it was woven on a traveling loom hence the width being funky; on one end it is about 3.5 ft wide, and at the other end it bows out to almost 3.10 feet wide - that's crazy! So, this should go in a nice large space that can handle 3.10 feet wide to show off its glorious imperfections and irregularity in size! We love these charming details in old tribal pieces and if it's not your thing, then this piece might not be for you. BUT, if you love the funkiness and odd quirky specifics, then heck yes you'll love this rug! Tons of funky blues, wonderful orange hues, soft apricot, terracotta, salmons, teals, creams, and a bunch of other colors all against a sensational espresso / chocolate-colored field. Nice floppy handle due to its use of wool pile woven wool foundation and really just a nice soft yet sturdy rug! You'll love it!
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
