Rare granite-like clay, wheel thrown and altered, then pierced before glazing. This vase is 7" tall, hand carved with raised concentric ridges that have been accentuated with bright red glaze. I am inspired by astronomy and wanted to capture an image of multiple planets aligned in the Summer sky that I observed in 2023.
