This painting was inspired by my youngest daughter. We took a family vacation last summer to one of our favorite places, Block Island. We all feel such freedom and exhilaration there, and I wanted to communicate that in this image of her venturing into the waves. An analogous cool color palette with exciting pops of pink thrown in made this painting very fun. As youth should be.
