This is an intricate collage made from old and new papers. Vintage love letters sit open on a table next to a beautiful vase of Cala Lillies. The floor is made from 1960s player piano paper, and a collaged photograph of a man and a woman embracing is on the wall. There is a love story here.

Through my artwork, I want to bring back what has been lost to time.

I construct collages out of paper ephemera from the 1850s to the 1970s. Ledgers, checks, documents, and letters; at one time, these papers were very important to the people who owned them. Although these older methods of recording and tracking the details of daily life have become obsolete, they have a tiny spark left in them.

I add vibrant colors and whimsical patterns to these mundane materials to create something altogether new. My hope is that the viewer will look at the interplay of the past and the present in my work and feel a sense of delight.
