The Mojave Desert, specifically the valley that Joshua Tree sits in, is well known for its incredible sunrises and sunsets. The way it’s oriented east-west allows you to see both from the same point and the wide open skies and dry desert air make for a beautiful range of colors at the beginning and end of every day. It’s one of my favorite parts about visiting the Mojave Desert.
The Mojave Quilt is inspired by watching the sky slowly change colors as the sun rises or sinks below the mountains. Warm reds and pinks fade into golds and soft yellows while the rest of the world is still dark.
Four sizes available:
Crib: 40” x 40”, perfect for a little one
Throw: 60” x 60”, great for snuggling on the couch
Queen: 90” x 90”, fits a full or queen size bed
King: 104” x 104”, fits a king size bed
Top: charcoal, terracotta, sienna, peach, gold, yarrow and curry cotton
Binding: gray yarn-dyed cotton/linen blend
Back: unbleached cotton
Batting: thick unbleached US-grown cotton
Machine pieced, quilted and bound
Care: Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.
Each quilt is made to order just for you. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for production.
