With the Minnesota Throw, I didn’t want to capture the look of a place, but more the spirit of it. It’s refreshingly simple and makes an impactful statement without needing too much extra. A minimal palette, traditional design and negative space make this piece equally classic, modern, and dynamic.

Binding: Homespun indigo linen/cotton
Back: Unbleached cotton
Batting: Thick US-grown 100% cotton

Machine pieced, quilted and bound

CARE
Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash and will soften with use + love.
HANGING SLEEVE OPTION
Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.
STORY
Minnesota is a beautiful state, but it’s really the people and their “Minnesota Nice” attitude that won me over. The folks we met while traveling through the state were friendly, generous and welcoming. Everywhere we went, it just felt like we were getting a big warm hug. The spirit of this place left more of an impression than any particular landscape or visual aspect could, so the Minnesota Throw was inspired by the people of this beautiful state.
