Hidden Rocks II is derived on the concepts of space, tranquility and escapism to bring peace inward and provide visual rest. Coastal rock fragments drove the concept behind this painting. In my Coastal series, the coarse, natural silhouettes of rock formations are honored, the soft hues conjure a quiet calmness, and the negative space provides a moment to breathe. With each work, I aspired to achieve a sense of serenity, harmony and stillness.
This original painting has been professionally framed with high-quality, acid-free materials using a raised float mount technique where the painting appears to float on top of the mat board, allowing the hand-torn edges to be seen.
