Catch the light with the beautiful, textured Escher Tapered vase. A striking design, this luxury glass piece is handcrafted with unmatched precision and attention to detail.

Light smokey green tones mix with coffee-white to create a striking textured vase designed to stand out in any living space. The ultimate vessel for displaying fresh flowers, the Escher vase can also steal the show alone with its two-sided dramatic tapered shape and wonderfully tactile surface.

DeKeyser Design vases are heavy-weight glass bound in Italian silks and various textiles. Through labor-intensive techniques, each is then hand-finished to a flawless high sheen. At first glance, the objects may appear to be ceramic. However, upon closer inspection, their unique depth of color distinguishes them.

The catalyst for the process came from helping my father build the hull of boats when I was a kid. During the research and development of creating the line, I consulted with NASA engineers regarding materials, compounds, and combinations. Ultimately, I developed a proprietary process that ensures the finish maintains its high-gloss sheen while preserving the richness and color saturation of the textiles. DeKeyser Design vases can be admired for a lifetime, And every piece is meticulously handcrafted, hand-finished, signed, and numbered.

From glass bound in Italian silk and textiles, to sculptural steel forms, to hand-poured artisan cement, we design and create beautiful objects to hold flowers, plants, candles, light, and catchalls.

DeKeyser’s fascination with materials and the joy of combining disparate elements and uses drives her work. From the mash-up of glass with silk and textiles to feathers and horsehair with cold-rolled steel, to a multifunctional object that can be a votive, a vase, or both emitting light and illuminating floral arrangements—her work is undeniably unique.

Through the Master of Designed Objects program at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, DeKyser’s expansive knowledge of various mediums, artistic applications, design theories, and technologies further fuel her innate skills and cultivate her distinctive design aesthetic.

Her work premiered at Salone del Mobile in Italy and has been featured in global publications such as World of Interiors, InStyle, New York Magazine, and LUXE. It has also been sold internationally in museum shops, exclusive showrooms, hotels, and spas.
