This was an intricate piece Hagerman Works built as a jewelry display case for an Australian jewelry designer based in LA. This lives in Fred Segal on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. It’s built out of ash wood and heavily charred black to give it a scaled texture. It has several moving parts; operable drawers, sliding tiered shelving and a removable glass top. It appears as though it’s balancing on the two shapes, but it tied together structurally with steel base inlays.
