Elegant, tall, and slender vases add a great deal of drama to any setting singly or in groupings as they are perched on tall footings that lift them high above their surroundings. These beautifully simple vases are surprisingly significant and will easily support a large arrangement. Display as an accent piece or in a large grouping all to themselves as a centerpiece, on a ledge, a mantel, or as a backdrop.
Each is thrown and altered with porcelaneous stoneware surfaced in pure porcelain with wild iron inclusions and a reactive cobalt surface. Every firing produces unique color variations ranging from algae greens, pale blues, golden speckles, and brilliantly deep cobalt blues. High-fired in gas reduction, each is lined with a traditional shino glaze, is fully vitrified and will hold water for arrangements.
Variations in color can be special ordered by contacting the artist (light blues vs dark iron heavy surfaces or with subtle striping). Or let the artist curate your grouping for you. Sizing varies slightly as each is unique and handmade, but generally considered Medium, Large, or XLarge based upon height.
