This 4-panel folding screen / room divider uses repeating patterns of horizontal and vertical slats to create an object that is both functional and visually appealing.
The screen can be used as a purely decorative object, adding texture and movement to an empty corner. It can also be used as a partition or divider that partially obscures visibility while still allowing light to filter through.
The screen is constructed entirely of solid quarter-sawn white ash with a low-sheen hand rubbed non-VOC oil finish. The frame and slats feature softly rounded profiles throughout.
The screen can be turned around or flipped end-for-end to change the orientation of the slats and/or the panel folds. The panels fold flat, allowing the entire unit to be put away if needed. Each panel is 18" wide and 71" high. When all four panels are folded flat against each other, they make a stack 5" thick.
