The Steel Wire Mesh Pendant Lights are created by hand. The Steel Mesh is molded on a steel ball, the steel mesh edges are all finished with a torch and the pendant light body is covered with a non rust coating. The length of the cords are normally 4' long. However, you can request longer cords.

Unique 3D art designs in Steel Wire Mesh and Ceramics

I have been an artist most of my life. My primary work includes ceramics and steel wire mesh.
I also combine the two media to create mix media art.

1 Ceramics Studio I create ceramic art that is usually celebrates botanic and geometric shapes and forms. I am a ceramicist and clay slab artist. My primary clay is midrange stoneware and terracotta. I use underglazes, old pewter glaze and crawl glaze. My recent ceramic collection is called “Wild Ones”. I have bee working in ceramics for two years. I have been focusing on my ceramic work this past year.

I am in three galleries located in the Seattle, Kirkland and Anacortes, Washington

2 Black Steel Wire Mesh Studio. I create sculptures, wall sculptures, pendant lights out of commercial steel wire mesh. The Mesh is molded, shaped and guided into unique art. I cut, clean and then coat the wire mesh to prevent rusting. It is then manipulated with my hands and a round steel ball to give the art elegantly curved shapes.
I was born in Olympia, Washington but have spent most of my life in Sammamish, Washington.
I received a BA in Art History from Western Washington University, MA in Arts Management from University of Illinois and M ARCH in Architecture from the University of Washington. My careers have included being a City Arts Director, an Architect and a Professional Photographer. These careers have inspired me to become a fulltime creator of art. I have also been fortunate to have been mentored by the following three Northwest artists. Lanny Bergner, Wire Mesh Mixed Media artist from Anacortes, Washington. Eric Boyer, Steel Wire Mesh Artist from Port Townsend, Washington and Marilynn Moore. Handmade wire mesh artist from Seattle, Washington. My newest mentor is the infamous ceramicist Carol Gouthro from Seattle.

I like making art with my hands, the process of making art. The work emerges from my fingertips to my hands and beyond.
